Getting Crazy, Staying Safe!

August 06, 2007

The Gathering looms on the horizon, so close now you can smell it! Actually that smell is the bug spray and sun block we're putting on. Since we know to cover our rumps, we thought we'd share with y'all this list of stuff to remember while you pack up:

  1. bicycles. Hatchet Landings is huge, and even with the Love Train, yer gonna get tired, so bring a bike to get around.
  2. water containers. Bottle, Thermos, or an old 40oz yer done with (plastic only!), yer gonna wanna have it to fill it up and take with ya. There are plenty of safe, free water faucets around Hatchet Landings, and you can fill up as often as you like.
  3. mosquito spray. When night falls, the little bloodsuckers come out in force, and you want them away!
  4. chigger protection. We haven't actually seen them, but they sure sound stale, and the locals tell us to be prepared. See what your stores carry!
  5. sun block. When the sun's above, it's gonna stay above, and you don't wanna burn! Buy some strong sun block and apply it everywhere!
  6. heat protection. Remember that this is the farthest south the Gathering's ever been, and it's August, so it'll get hot. Bing umbrellas, hats with brims, and light colored clothing that lets in lots of air to prevent heatstroke.
  7. comfortable shoes. Your shoes might be tight, but if they ain't comfortable yer gonna wish you left them at home! Don't be ashamed to scoop up some Dr. Scholl's insoles, cuz yer gonna be doin some walkin!

This is gonna be one of the freshest Gatherings yet, and we've got Mist Tents to cool you off, and an EMT Tent with full time paramedics and an ambulance if anything serious happens to any juggalo! Go to them if the heat gets to you, and your weekend will be the freshest ever!

Just to throw out some flavor, we're happy to announce 2 more bands. Just when you thought we were done, we give you Russet Burbank on the 2nd stage Thurs, 5:10PM, and Bare Knuckle Conflict on the 2nd Stage Sunday at 4:30PM! They're both here to prove The Underground can Rock!!

Will or Mail Call

August 03, 2007

Amidst the flurry of Psychopathic ninjas getting ready for the Gathering, some of the tried and true soldiers from Hatchet Gear squeezed through and gave us this mail-minded message:

If you want to order your ticket now, you can save a buck and use Priority Mail, but we cannot guarantee Priority Mail orders will arive be fore you leave for the Gathering. For an extra fee, Overnight Delivery will be available through Tuesday, August 7 at 10AM. Any ticket ordered after that point will be placed on Will Call and will be available at the Gathering for pickup at the Information Tent.

So if you still want a ticket in the mail, you should probably pay the extra fee for Overnight Delivery, or you might not get your shit in time!

If you're not attached to the Mail Service, here's an announcement that'll make ya Clown Walk:

Gathering Tickets will be available for purchase at the Gathering, at the Box Office located in the Info Tent, for the standard $150. Cash or credit will be accepted.

We will see you there!

No Wig Left At All...

August 01, 2007

Holy rolling snowballs Juggalos! This Gathering is building like a funnel cloud, and right now we're at the top, where that bitch is spittin out new flavor all over southern Illinois! We got so much flavor right now let's get right into it:

First off we've made major additions to almost every section of www.juggalogathering.com, with a truckload of new flavor in the Events, Attractions, and General Rules/Info sections. Peep it with a firmly secured wig!

Next we've got some changes in the Performances section. Sutter Kain and Q-Strange have dropped out of the lineup (our best wishes to Q and his family), but we're happy to announce the addition of Menacide and Insane Poetry, and Defekt now on Thursday! Never doubt that we keep bringin the best!

Speaking of the best, we've got the addition of an act for Sunday night right before ICP:

The Ying Yang Twins

Ying Yang twins may be kings of the club, but any one of their fans (including Boondox!) knows there are layers to their music beyond the booty shakin. These Atlanta natives may look and act crazy, but their ability to reach out to an audience will really mess with your head. Their goal is to put a little meat in the beat, and make everyone happy, so come see what they can do for the Juggalo family!

We've also made some changes and additions to the Bomb House Open Mic List, which u can also peep in the Performances section.

Dammit! We knew all that stuff, we wrote all that stuff, and we've still got a wig to find. We'll see you at the Gathering...

You're far Away, but it's Getting Closer

July 28, 2007

tick... tick... tick... The clock is ticking us closer to the Gathering a bit more each remaining day. That means ticket updates, so here's one:

Any and all international ticket orders will be placed on Will Call

All that means is that, if you live outside the USA, and purchase a ticket between now and the Gathering, you'll be picking it up at Will Call (in the Info Tent) at the Gathering, instead of getting it in the mail. We'll see ya there either way!

Continuous Devastation

July 27, 2007

This Gathering is building, like a Giant balloon hovering over southern Illinois, getting bigger and bigger, ready to burst and rain diamonds upon thousands of Juggalos! You don't want to miss that, do you? In addition to the tickests still available online and at stores, you can also buy them at the Blaze Merch Booth on the Strange Noize Tour!

Still not decided? how bout if we add 56 more live music performances? That's right we have our Bomb House Open Mic Lineup ready to go! Peep that in our Live Performances section right now, Then check out our next Featured Artist

Anybody Killa

We all know the Gathering is a place for Juggalos, and we're happy to announce the return of an old-school Juggalo to the Gathering stage: Anybody Killa. That's right, it's no rumor, no speculation, no BS, ABK is playing the Gathering. This is his first Gathering performance since 2005, and his first time alongside the Psychopathic Family in over a year, so you know it's gonna be HUGE!! The Hatchet Warrior will be back in his natural environment, out in the wilderness and surrounded by Juggalos, and you know you want to see him back in effect! ABK at the Gathering y'all, don't miss it!

Ticket news

July 25, 2007

It's hard to believe that some of you have waited this long to grip some tickets, with all the flavor we've announced for this years Gathering! It's cool though, we appreciate all of you scrapping together your spare change to make the trip, so we're makin arrangements for y'all to get your tickets right down to the last minute. Unfortunately, today is the last chance to purchase a ticket with a mail order or personal check. We absolutely have to receive the money order by Thursday, August 2, or we cannot guarantee that the order will arrive in time. Those options will no longer be available, but you can still purchase tickets online with credit cards and PayPal. Shipping options will change the closer we get to the Gathering. If you want to walk into a place and pay cash, you can buy them at the stores listed here until August 3rd.
